DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1: Luang Prabang – Arrival

Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is your own free time at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Muang La (B,D)

Today drive North takes through some of the most stunning mountain scenery you will find in South East Asia, with plenty of opportunities to stop off at the various Khmu and H’mong villages along the way. We may also visit visit the intriguing Pra Xack Kham Temple with its sacred Buddha image. The 400 years old legendary statue is said to have many supernatural powers, and is widely worshipped among the faithful local Buddhists. We shall reach Muang La by mid-afternoon, which is famous for its natural hot springs for the night. No activities are planned for the rest of the day so you can stroll around the village or just relax at the riverside retreat enjoying a massage or sometime in the hot springs. Overnight in Muang La

Day 3: Muang La – Cycling experience (B,D)

Along the banks of the River Nam Pak, there are many Khamu villages dotted along the course of the river. As you explore the area on your mountain bike, you pass through some beautiful scenery and meet the villagers at work, harvesting vegetables on the banks of the river. You will stop in one of the villages and as you pass through the village, you have the opportunity to learn about the daily life of the village and its inhabitants. You will learn about their traditional beliefs such as respect of the wisdom of the village elders, the innocence of youth and the communal spirit of the village. After around 11km, you reach the village of Tad Muan where you can learn how the traditional houses are built and the different ways of hunting that used by the villagers. You leave the village and cycle back to The Resort.

Day 4: Muang La – Oudomxay – Vientiane (B)

You are free to stroll around the resort before transferring to the Oudomxay airport and take the short flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is your own free time at leisure. Overnight in Vientiane

Day 5: Vientiane – Orchid garden – Departure (B)

In the morning, we then transfer out to visit the orchid farm, where you can find more than 2 000 plants, in 300 different orchid species coming from different parts of the country. The orchids are arranged by species in a beautiful green garden in Vientiane. We then transfer out to the airport again to take the departure flight. End of services.
