Ko Tao has all the ingredients of a tropical paradise: powdery white sand, waving palm trees, azure waters, and exotic marine life. Although easily accessible from Ko Samui, Ko Tao Island is far more laid back. It’s a great place to put your feet up in a hammock with a fruit shake and a good book. You’ll find a variety of beaches, small restaurants and impressive snorkelling and diving spots. During your stay on the island we’ll arrange for you to go on a snorkelling trip to all the best spots.
Travel route: Ko Tao – Departure
Day 1: Arrival on Ko Tao Island
Today you’ll arrive on Ko Tao Island, easily reachable by ferry from both Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan. You’ll stay in a resort just 5 mins walk from Sairee beach; the longest stretch of beach on Ko Tao. Your room is furnished in a simple fashion, is spacious and has a private en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning. There’s also a dive school at this resort, so you won’t have to look far if you’d like to book a dive.
Day 2: Snorkelling Trip (B,L)
Today you’ll discover why Ko Tao is famous for it’s bright coral reefs and colourful fish. You’ll be collected from your hotel for your day trip to the best snorkelling spots on the island. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch at Hin Wong Bay before journeying to the North of the Island for some more snorkelling. In the afternoon you’ll visit the tiny island of Koh Nang Yuan and climb up to the viewpoint in the centre. At the end of your trip you’ll be dropped off at the harbour and from here make your own way back to your hotel.
Day 3 – 4: Free Time & Departure (B)
Today is free for you to do as you please. You might decide to spend your time relaxing on the beach with a good book and a tropical cocktail. Alternatively, if you want to discover the deeper world and bigger fish, it’s possible to try an introductory dive. If you’ve never dived before, Ko Tao has enough great dive sites to give you the passion to start a new hobby. The next day you’ll wave a reluctant goodbye to this beautiful tropical island.
